I’m Natalia Navarra ~ an eclectic freelance illustrator and multi-disciplinary artist based in Philly.
Prior to starting my freelance career, I was a Fine Arts & Fashion Design teacher for six years. I teach occasionally at Fleisher Art Memorial: a nonprofit community art center and substitute at a local Philly school. I graduated Rowan University with a Bachelors of Art Education in 2014. I continue my education with taking art classes. I love dabbling in new mediums and am currently exploring screen-printing, animation and tufting.
I’m a mixed media artist, working with various mediums such as digital and traditional illustration. I often focus on the elements & principles of art and really love to hone in on line, color and contrast. I work with a lot of symbolism and love a balanced symmetrical piece.
I have a concentration in fashion & construction and I love to create sustainable wearable art. I print and sew a lot of my own products. Everything I create is a true extension of myself. It all comes from good ole labor of love. Art makes me happy and I hope it can make you happy too. So, if you happen to have a product, print, garment, painting, illustration of mine – please know that there was a lot of love put into the process.
I pretty much create every day in hopes to inspire growth within myself and others. I believe art can be accessible to everyone, regardless of background or artistic experience. I’m a big advocate for my community and am always trying to show others the power of creation. Art is a fantastic medium to explore. If you feel like making something – do it. Be fearless and enjoy the process!
